MOONEYES SUMMER BBQ

As a teenager growing up in the 40's Dean Moon catered to the Southern California hotrodding scene with his custom speed equipment, built in his parents garage. Today MOONEYES is the leader in nostalgic hotrod performance equipment still operating out of the original shop in Norwalk, LA County which is where we headed today in the HARVEYS van for the annual MOONEYES summer BBQ. Hundreds of hotrods and customs turned up to celebrate an icon of Southern California hotrodding.
I spent most of my time at the gift shop and garage, where they have on display the coolest collection of Ratfink stuff and nostalgic hotrodding memorabilia.
If you're in Yokohama, Japan stop by the MOONEYES, Japan store.

LEGOcy

Lego, the original and still the coolest. Lego is a huge inspiration for a lot of the designer toy scene

Bearbricks look suspiciously similar to the lego figures.

Guate by Kim Winderman

I'd like to introduce a very good friend of mine who also happens to be someone I really admire. It's a little hard to explain but there are these delicate subtleties that kim seems to capture so prolifically that i can't seem to get enough of. On top of that, she's using film, so it's nothing left to chance snapping away aimlessly on an infinity gig cf card. i love her

Money talks and Shit walks.

French Fashion house Louis Vuitton does it again with yet another Murakami Collab.
Jamie O'Shea over at Supertouch calls it the death of cammo. What is being called "Monogramouflage" is simply a failed attempt to make old people feel young again, not to mention a bit dangerous and Urban. I understand the need for newness but this is neither new nor cool. Sorry. Louis himself would be shitting bricks. It's back to the drawing board for
Mr. Jacobs and co.
